ESPN, USBC REACH AGREEMENT
TO TELEVISE 2006 USBC QUEENS

GREENDALE, Wis. - Five of the best women bowlers in the world will be featured on national television when the finals of the 2006 United States Bowling Congress Queens, presented by Eldorado, Silver Legacy and Circus Circus, is televised on ESPN2, USBC announced Monday.

The tape-delayed telecast is scheduled for July 1 at noon Eastern on ESPN2. The Queens, which will take place June 17-21 at the National Bowling Stadium, will feature more than 300 of the best bowlers in the world competing for a guaranteed prize fund of $200,000 with $30,000 going to the winner.

"The ESPN2 telecast is an important element of the prestige of this crown-jewel event," USBC Director of Marketing and Sales Jan Schmidt said. "We're very pleased to continue to this long-standing association with the worldwide leader in sports."
